Critical Equipment Inspections
One type of critical equipment that Thermal Techniques is a huge advocate in checking are a facilities control panels. The assumption has always been made that no real value can be gained from infrared inspection. They are far to often over looked and never inspected, as they are considered very low in the priority as well as having low voltage and low amperage. We believe that these are areas where faulty connections can cause intermittent shut downs and that are hard to trace to the root cause. Bellow is an example that shows a problem and the corrected results before a serious outage occurred.
The machine that this panel controlled had a history of doing strange things and this what was found when we used our infrared camera.
Followed up no more than 5 minutes later to see if the problem had been fixed
