Brewery Air Comp CB
I had an interesting find this week at a new brewery. This CB is fed out of the Main Distribution Panel and feeds a brand new Air Compressor that had just been installed less than a month prior to this inspection. You can tell in the visual image that the wire’s insulation (red arrows) is actually breaking apart and corroded from the excessive heating (+400F).

Had we not inspected the equipment here this CB would have failed and worse yet a possible fire could have occurred damaging the entire Cabinet even all the way back to the Utility Feed and even shutting down the entire production.
